About Dr Mark Woods

Dr Mark Woods is a compassionate and skilled general dentist with over five years of experience delivering high-quality care to communities across New South Wales and Queensland. Known for his calm, friendly manner, he takes pride in creating a comfortable environment where patients feel at ease and supported in their oral health journey.

With a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Pathology from UNSW, Dr Mark contributed to published research in ocular surface diseases before pursuing dentistry at Griffith University. He graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry.

Dr Mark has gained valuable clinical experience across a diverse range of settings, beginning at Canungra Dental in Queensland and continuing through to practices on the Mid North Coast and the Central Coast of New South Wales. Most recently, he contributed to the success of Dental at Kanwal, where the team was proud to receive the 2023 Local Business Award.

Dedicated to ongoing professional development, Dr Mark has completed additional training in direct restorations, surgical extractions, prosthodontics, and has introductory experience in implant dentistry and orthodontics. He has a keen interest in achieving aesthetic results that not only enhance smiles but also support long-term oral health.

Born and raised in Sydney in a big, energetic family of seven children—including his twin brother—Dr Mark brings a personal warmth to every patient interaction. Outside of dentistry, he recharges by spending time outdoors hiking, swimming, and playing soccer. He also enjoys playing guitar and sharing good food and conversation with family and friends.
