Where are Primary Dental centres located
Part of the ForHealth Group, Primary Dental centres are conviniently located inside large scale medical centres in the community. We have 62 dental centres and over 200 independent dentists practicing in our network.
What to expect for my child’s first dental visit?
Sitting in the dentist’s chair for the very first time is a big deal for little people! So if your child is scared or even teary, rest assured this is completely normal. The best thing you can do is trust the dental team. They’ve seen it all before and will do their best to make sure your child is comfortable and as relaxed as possible during their visit. The first consultation will include a gentle examination of your child’s mouth, teeth, lips and gums to check for normal development. Your dentist can also answer any questions you may have regarding maintaining to child’s oral health.
As your child grows, their consultations will include having their teeth professionally cleaned and polished to remove plaque and tartar. They’ll also be given a safe application of fluoride to strengthen their teeth against decay.
Does your dental centre bulk-bill dental services?
Unfortunately, Medicare does not cover dental services for adults and we are unable to bulk-bill. However, the Medicare CDBS covers up to $1026 in dental services for eligible children over a period of 2 calendar years. To check eligibility, you can call our centre and our friendly reception staff can call Medicare on your behalf.
How much does my dental treatment cost?
We believe every patient and circumstance is unique. In your first visit to our dental centre, your dentist will evaluate your individual requirement and provide you with a detailed treatment plan with clear costs. When you visit a Primary Dental practice, you will always receive a quote after an initial consultation and before any treatment from your dentist. We encourage dentists to be absolutely transparent and we offer afterpay, Zip Pay and other payment options to make dental care accessible to all families.
